Attached is a map of Washington DC that contains two interest pieces of data. First it identifies the density of population throughout the city. Notice that overall, the city is relatively low density, and that the majority of high density areas are rather close to downtown, despite the majority use of downtown space as office buildings. Secondly, look at the proportion of population by race. These figures are in absolutes, not as a percentage of the census tract, so look at them as a count of whites, (in white), blacks (in black) and others (Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Other and identifies as more than one).
From this data it can be seen that
A) George Clinton was right - DC is a Chocolate City.
B) Most perceived integrated areas aren't really integrated. However some areas are really integrated.
